Phone repair that comes up the elevator
Condo living in Etobicoke has a lot going for it, but running an errand isn't always simple. Getting out of an underground garage, onto Lake Shore Boulevard and into traffic for a cracked screen is a chunk of your day. A mobile technician skips all that. She comes to your building, and you can be back at your desk or on the couch while the repair happens.
Toronto's west end is the part of the city closest to our Milton base, so condo buildings along the waterfront in Humber Bay Shores, the towers and mid-rises around Mimico and the streets near Park Lawn and The Queensway are a natural fit.
Where the repair can happen in your building
Every building is different, so pick whatever is comfortable for you and allowed by your management:
- Your unit. The simplest option if you're happy to have a visitor. A kitchen table or desk near an outlet and good light is all that's needed.
- The lobby. Many buildings have a seating area with a table. It's public, it's often staffed by concierge, and it suits people who'd rather not have anyone up to their unit.
- A party room or meeting room. Some buildings let residents book amenity rooms. If yours does, it gives a quiet, private space with a proper table. Check your building's booking rules first.
- Your parked car or visitor parking. If you're heading out anyway, the repair can be done at your vehicle.
Make the visit smooth: a condo checklist
Condo logistics are where most delays come from, and they're easy to sort out ahead of time. When you book, share these details:
- Building address and entrance. Waterfront complexes often have several towers on one property, sometimes with separate entrances on different streets. Tell us which tower and which door.
- Buzzer code or concierge instructions. Let us know whether to buzz your unit, use a code, or check in at the front desk. If your concierge needs your name on a visitor list, add it before the appointment.
- Visitor parking. Say whether your building has visitor spots, whether they're underground or at the surface, and whether a plate needs to be registered with the concierge or through a building app.
- Where you'd like to meet. Your unit, the lobby, an amenity room or your car.
- Your phone model and the problem. A photo of the damage sent by WhatsApp helps her bring the right part.
Tip: Some buildings limit how long visitors can park or require a parking pass from the front desk. Asking your concierge once and passing that along saves time on the day.
What happens on the day
The technician confirms the exact time with you by phone or WhatsApp before she heads over. When she arrives, she checks the phone with you, does the repair right there, and tests it with you before she leaves: touch, cameras, speakers, charging and anything else related to the fault.
Because you're present the whole time, your phone never leaves your sight. For more on how at-home visits work from start to finish, see our at-home phone repair guide.
Before the visit, it's worth backing up your phone. Our post on backing up an iPhone before a screen repair walks through it.
What we fix in west-end condos
Most condo visits are for phones: cracked iPhone and Samsung screens, tired batteries, charging ports that only work at an angle, back glass, cameras and water damage. Our iPhone repair page covers the most common work. iPads, tablets, laptops and game consoles can be looked at during the same visit if you mention them when you book.
How far into Toronto do we go?
We want to be straightforward about this. The west end, especially Etobicoke south of the Gardiner and along the lake, is the part of Toronto we reach most easily from Milton. Addresses farther east or north in the city may still be possible depending on the schedule, but we'd rather tell you up front than promise a window we can't keep. Ask when you request your quote and you'll get a clear answer. You can see the full list of areas we cover or read more about our Toronto service.
Need a hand?
If you're in a Humber Bay Shores, Mimico or nearby west-end building, send your phone model, a photo of the damage and your building details by call or WhatsApp to (365) 351-4247, or request a visit online. You'll get a free quote before any work starts, and the technician confirms the time with you before she comes to your lobby, unit or car.

Frequently asked questions
Can a phone repair be done in my condo lobby?
Yes, as long as your building allows it. A lobby table with decent light works well, and many residents prefer it to having a visitor upstairs. Let us know your concierge or buzzer instructions when you book.
Do you come to Etobicoke for phone repair?
Yes. Etobicoke is in Toronto's west end, the part of the city closest to our Milton base, including condo areas like Humber Bay Shores and Mimico. Call or WhatsApp with your address to confirm a visit.
Where should the technician park at my condo?
Visitor parking is easiest. Tell us whether your building's visitor spots are underground or outside, and whether a plate must be registered with the concierge or a building app before arrival.
