Phone repair that fits a student schedule
Between classes, labs, placements and part-time shifts, finding a free afternoon to sit in a repair shop isn't easy. And as a student, your phone does a lot: two-factor codes for your school accounts, course notifications, banking, group chats and getting home at night.
Woman Wireless On The Go has no storefront. A certified woman technician comes to you instead, which suits students in Oakville and Brampton, including those near Sheridan College's Trafalgar Road campus in Oakville and Davis campus in Brampton.
Evening windows for after class
Online requests book into three windows: Morning (8am to 12pm), Afternoon (12 to 5pm) and Evening (5 to 9pm). For most students, the Evening window is the easy one. You're back from campus, done with your shift, and the repair can happen before you start on assignments.
Lighter class day? Morning and Afternoon windows work too. Once you've picked a window, the technician confirms an exact time by phone or WhatsApp. For anything later than 9pm, call or WhatsApp to arrange it directly.
Near Sheridan's Trafalgar Road campus in Oakville
Plenty of Trafalgar Road students live in residence or in shared houses and basement apartments around Trafalgar Road and the surrounding neighbourhoods. Others commute in on the Lakeshore West GO line through Oakville GO. A visit can happen at your rental, your workplace on a break, or your parked car, wherever you're comfortable. See our Oakville service area page for more.
Near Sheridan's Davis campus in Brampton
The Davis campus sits near McLaughlin Road and Steeles Avenue, and many Davis students rent rooms in houses across Brampton. That kind of setup, with a shared kitchen, roommates and a driveway, works well for an at-home repair. See our Brampton service area page for details.
Where we can meet you
You choose a spot that feels safe and convenient. Good options for students:
- Your home or rental. A kitchen table or common room in a shared house is ideal: good light and a flat surface.
- A residence lobby or common area. Only if your residence allows visitors there. Check your residence rules and any sign-in requirements first.
- Your parked car. Handy if you'd rather not have anyone come inside. Pick a well-lit lot.
- Your workplace. On a break during a shift, if your employer is fine with it.
Tell us your nearest major intersection when you book so the confirmed time is realistic.
A free quote before you spend anything
Student budgets are tight, so it helps to know the full picture before deciding. Every repair starts with a free quote before any work begins. Send your phone model and a clear photo of the damage, and you'll know what the repair involves and what it costs.
- Ask what screen options exist for your model. Some phones can take more than one grade of replacement screen.
- Mention everything that's wrong (say, a cracked screen and a weak battery) so the quote covers it all.
- Not sure a repair is worth it on an older phone? Read cracked screen repair vs a new phone before deciding.
There's no obligation to go ahead once you have your quote.
Common student phone problems
- Cracked screens from backpack drops, bus floors and slippery stairs.
- Batteries that can't make it through a long campus day of maps, notes and streaming.
- Charging ports packed with backpack lint, so the cable only works at an angle.
- Spilled drinks in the library or at work.
- Locked phones. International students sometimes arrive with a phone locked to a carrier. Phones from Canadian carriers can be unlocked free on request, and our phone unlocking service can help with others. Our post on phone unlocking in Ontario explains the rules.
We fix iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, Motorola, OnePlus and other brands. Laptops, iPads and tablets are covered too, which helps when your laptop is the thing standing between you and a deadline. See our cell phone repair page for the full list.
Before the technician arrives
- Back up your phone if it still works, so photos and notes are safe.
- Make sure you know your passcode and your Apple Account or Google password.
- Check your residence's visitor rules if you're meeting there.
- Take the case off and have your charger handy for testing.
Our at-home phone repair guide covers what to expect in more detail.
